two years of Spanish taught me...

"look at yourself. you don't have to be naked, but it will be a wonder of progress when you get to the point where you can do this naked, I want you to look at yourself- in the mirror. Stop and stand there, each and every time you pass it by- take a good, hard look at yourself. This is your body. This. This body is yours. It carries you. I want you to choose something about your body- your person, One thing. that you like, about yourself- each time you see yourself in the mirror.

Just pick one thing. Anything. Any, one thing- and then work on liking something new each time. "

That's what my Spanish teacher told me, in high school. I craved attention, and I had low self-esteem.

I had no idea, then, what I know now. -don't I wish I did

but I didn't- and she tried so hard to show me.

"you've got to learn to love yourself, honey. There is not another person on the face of this planet that is going to be able to love you as much as you need to learn to love yourself."

and she is absolutely right.

Love yourself.

-if you don't want to be with you, what makes you think anyone else is going to want to-

I remember that lesson, more than I can remember hardly any Spanish.

FACE-A-DAY

Every single day, we are faced with something new.

A new diversity, a new challenge- a new victory.

And every single day- we grow.

80% of the success is showing up-

The willingness to show up changes us. It makes us a little braver each time.
