Family Night at Upson Lee Agricultural Center: New Friends, New Neighbors, New Hope
Change the Face of Depression (CTFOD) had the absolute best time at Family Night at the Upson Lee Agricultural Center! This was one of our very first community events since moving to town, and it already feels like home.
From the moment we set up our vendor table, we were surrounded by families, kids, teachers, and community members who were kind, curious, and so open to talking about mental health, hope, and healing. It reminded us exactly why CTFOD exists—to make conversations about mental health feel a little less scary and a lot more human.
Welcoming Over 20 New Subscribers 🫶
We’re excited to share that we welcomed over 20 new subscribers to the CTFOD website and email list during the event!
If you stopped by our table, signed up, grabbed a resource, or even just smiled and waved—thank you. You are now officially part of the CTFOD community, and we’re so glad you’re here.
As a subscriber, you’ll get:
Updates on mental health resources and our growing CTFOD Resource Directory
News about upcoming events, workshops, and peer support opportunities
Stories, tools, and encouragement to remind you that you are never alone in what you’re feeling
A Night Full of Connection
We didn’t just gain subscribers—we gained neighbors.
We met parents advocating for their kids, teens asking thoughtful questions, and community members who care deeply about mental health in Upson County. We had honest conversations about depression, grief, anxiety, and what it really means to support one another through the hard stuff.
Those connections matter. They’re where change begins.
Dreaming Up a LOVEYOURSELFIE Event
One of the most exciting parts of the night was the brainstorming that started happening right at our table.
We’re already dreaming about partnering with local schools, organizations, and the Upson Lee community to bring a LOVEYOURSELFIE event here—a day where:
People can receive makeovers, photos, and encouragement
We remind one another that we are worthy, lovable, and important exactly as we are
Mental health support, self-care, and confidence are front and center
If you or your organization would like to partner with us to make a LOVEYOURSELFIE event happen in this area, we’d love to hear from you.
Welcome to Our New Town & New Community
To Thomaston, Upson County, and everyone we met at the Upson Lee Agricultural Center:
Thank you for welcoming us.
Thank you for being open.Thank you for showing us that this is a community that cares.
To our new subscribers: We’re so happy you’re here. We hope CTFOD becomes a safe digital “home base” for you—a place to find resources, reminders of your worth, and proof that you’re not alone in what you’re going through.
This is only the beginning.
We can’t wait to grow with you, listen to you, and build meaningful things together in this new town. 💛
